PL leader in the Chamber says that party will support 4×3 scale
The leader of the PL in the Chamber of Deputies, Sóstenes Cavalcante (PL-RJ), said on Tuesday night (26) that the party will not only vote in favor of the end of the 6×1 scale, but will also present a highlight defending the 4×3 scale, of four days of work and three days of rest.
“We made the decision tomorrow, at the time of voting in plenary, to present a preference for voting on a 4×3 scale”, said Sóstenes in a speech from the Chamber’s rostrum. He later confirmed the position in a publication on X.

The demonstration is a total change in the party’s position, since the PL was one of the parties that defended the amendment that opened the possibility of increasing the working day to 52 hours per week, as well as a 10-year transition to reduce it to 40 hours.
“Now we want to see: whoever claims to defend the worker will have the opportunity to prove it in the vote”, wrote the PL leader on the social network. The provocation was aimed at the federal government, which previously considered that reducing working hours to 36 hours a week, in four working days, would be a very sudden change.
The opinion of the rapporteur on the reduction of working hours in the special committee of the Chamber has already been read, but a request for review postponed its vote to Wednesday (27). The text must go to the plenary on the same day or the following day.
