Praça dos Três Powers will be reinforced security for September 7

The Federal District Public Security Bureau (SSP-DF) has reported that a special security scheme is being set up to ensure the trial by the Supreme Court (STF), the defendants of the coup plot, which includes former President Jair Bolsonaro, and the Civic-Military Parade on September 7.

In Três Powers Square (photo), the operation will be integrated between the STF judicial police and the Federal District Secretariat.

State -of -the -art equipment will be used such as drones with thermal image capacity, which allow daytime and night scanning and continuous perimeter surveillance.

The site will also have expanded ostensible policing, and there may be approaches and backpacks in suspicious situations, in compliance with the STF’s decision that prohibits camps and obstructions in the area.

So far, according to the Federal District government, there is no evidence of demonstrations related to the trial of Bolsonaro and allies.

It will also be installed, from Monday (1st), the Integrated Intelligence Intelligence Cell at SSP-DF headquarters. The judgment on the Supreme Court will start the next day.

“The structure will bring together local and national security agencies to expand information sharing, reduce response time and enhance preventive actions such as social networking monitoring and identification of suspicious movements,” said SSP-DF.

For the parade of 7 September, which will be attended by President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the Esplanade of Ministries will be banned from 5 pm on the 6th, at the time of the Cathedral and 23h, from the East Handle, just after the bus station of the Pilot Plan.

Access to the public on the day of the parade will open at 6am, with magazine points installed.

Items such as weapons, sharp objects, flammable substances, glass containers, fireworks, large backpacks, tents and drones without permission are prohibited.

The mobile command of the Military Police will be present at the scene.
