PT resolution considers pressure, achievements and attempted coup, says Gleisi
The president of the PT, Gleisi Hoffmanncommented on the highlights of the political resolution approved by the party’s National Directorate this Saturday (7). The base text, according to Gleisi, involves an analysis of the current situation, pressures from the financial market, achievements of the Lula government and the alleged attempted coup d’état.
“Our line (in the text of the resolution) is the punishment for scammers. This has to happen. No amnesty. Supporting our proposal, which has already been presented to the Chamber, to archive the amnesty project. This is very clear in the resolution,” the PT president told journalists.
Regarding pressure from the financial market on the current management, Gleisi stated that the directory considers that there is not a proper response even in the face of government initiatives. “Even presenting measures to contain expenditure growth. You can’t get enough, you want more.”
Lula admits communication error and left-wing difficulty in acting on social media
During a PT event, Lula said that the left has difficulty communicating with the electorate on social media and demanded that leaders act more strategically
Gleisi also highlighted that the text “reaffirms the defense of the rights of the Brazilian people”, with emphasis on “the achievements in the Constitution”. “We talked about some flags. Reducing the scale to 6×1. We talk about the issue of bets, which is something that concerns us a lot too. We talk about the issue of public transport. We reaffirm our commitment to zero fares for public transport”, he added.
The text, before the amendments, which are still under discussion, will be ten pages long. The announcement should take place this weekend.
