United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio denounced on Thursday (4) Nicolás Maduro as an indicted and fugitive terrorist of American justice, intensifying rhetoric against the Venezuelan leader while US war ships focused on the coast of South America.

Maduro is a “fugitive from American justice,” Rubio said during a visit to Ecuador. “We’re not just going to hunt drug traffickers with quick small boats (…). The president said he wants to wage a war against these groups.”

Yesterday, Marco Rubio assured that the attacks on drug cartels will continue after his country said he destroyed a vessel in the Caribbean who allegedly belonged to the Venezuelan criminal group Tren de Aragua.
