Rui Costa, head of the Civil House, travels to São Paulo to meet with Lula
The Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa (PT)leaves for São Paulo this Monday (16) to meet with the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT)who is in the capital of São Paulo after being discharged from hospital on Sunday (15).
According to the minister’s press office, Costa will return to Brasília (DF) today.
This morning, Lula received the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad (PT)in São Paulo. At the meeting, Haddad gave the president a detailed table of the projects that are being processed in Congress, with an emphasis on tax reform and the expense containment package.
He said he showed an overview of the situation of each measure, both in the Senate and in the Chamber, so that the head of the Executive can act, if he deems it necessary.

The president has been in São Paulo since last week, when he underwent a hasty operation, in the early hours of last Tuesday (10), after experiencing headaches. An MRI identified an intracranial hemorrhage, resulting from the accident at home in October.
Lula underwent a craniotomy to drain the hematoma and an endovascular procedure to prevent further bleeding.
The PT member was discharged on Sunday and is expected to stay at his home in Alto de Pinheiros, an upscale neighborhood in the west of the capital of São Paulo, until Thursday (19), to monitor his health and check on the healing of the surgery. “I can go back to work normally,” said the president at a press conference.
