Russia and Belarus do joint military exercises and worry NATO
Poland restricts flights in the east in the country, where the equipment entered. Warsaw, the country’s capital, ordered the full closure of its border with Belarus until the end of the maneuvers. Lithuania and Latvia also announced partial closures of airspace.
Trump minimizes incursion
American president suggested that invasion may have been an accident. In an interview with journalists yesterday, the Republican minimized the incident and said “it may have been a mistake.” Polish Prime Minister countered the statement on social networks. “We would also like the drone attack on Poland had been a mistake. But it wasn’t. And we know that,” Donald Tusk wrote in English.
Russia says that Poland did not present evidence about the origin of the drones. After the prosecution, Moscow stated that the neighbor “propagates myths” not to prove if equipment was really Russians. “These concrete facts completely deny the myths that Poland again spreads to aggravate the crisis in Ukraine,” the embassy told AFP news agency.
Zelensky questions the goal of the meeting. The president of Ukraine, who is at war with Russia, said the exercises were not “defensive” and “not only point to Ukraine.”
