Russia says he agrees with Ukraine about the need to negotiate peace
Kremlin said on Friday that he agrees with a statement by Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that it was necessary to give more impetus to peace negotiations between the sides in conflict.
Two rounds of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in Türkiye this year resulted in an agreement for the exchange of prisoners and remains of soldiers. But a date for a new round of negotiations has not yet been set and both sides remain distant on the terms of any ceasefire.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also said recent US President Donald Trump’s recent warnings about possible russian export buyers were not seen in Moscow as a sign that bilateral negotiations with Washington are at the end.
