See which countries recognize the Palestinian State
Last week, influential countries such as the United Kingdom and France announced the official recognition of the State of Palestine. There are more than 150 countries, including Brazil, which make up this list. Nevertheless, US veto on the Security Council wages its full adherence to the United Nations.
Israel increasingly isolated
European powers recently recognized Palestine as a state. Canada and Australia have announced the same gesture, expanding the international movement that already includes Russia, China, Brazil, India, Arab countries, almost all of Africa and Latin America.
Today, 151 of the 193 UN Member States officially recognize Palestine. According to AFP agency, another 39 remain against, including the United States, Israel, Japan, Italy and Germany. Four of the five permanent members of the Security Council are already in the field of recognition, increasing the symbolic weight of the decision. They are Russia, China, France and the United Kingdom – all less United States.
