Starbucks baristas go on strike in the US for better conditions

More than 65 Starbucks stores in forty cities are part of this first phase of the movement, which, according to the union, could expand to more than 500 cafes over time. The chain has around 10,000 stores and more than 7,000 franchises in the United States. Starbucks told AFP that “less than 1%” of its cafes suffered some type of disruption this Thursday morning.
