STF has an extraordinary in -person session in the next 6th, with three items on the agenda
The Federal Supreme Court (STF) will hold an extraordinary face-to-face session next Friday, August 1, at 10am, after one month of recess. On the agenda are an appeal and two direct actions of unconstitutionality (ADIs).
The appeal deals with the existence of a limit for the application of tax fines. The court has already recognized the general repercussion of the issue.

The second item on the agenda is the validity of 10% of the union contribution to the trade union centrals. The action was filed by DEM (today União Brasil), which claimed that the union contribution is “a kind of paraphiscal contribution, to constitute a typical contribution of interest of professional categories, being prohibited to use the cost of activities that go beyond the limits of the respective professional category”.

Finally, the second ADI on the agenda refers to a law of Santa Catarina on maternity, paternity and adopter licenses within the State Public and Military Service.
The discussions revolve around the differentiation in the granting of the adotant license due to the age of the adopted child, the equalization of the paternity leave deadlines with the federal standard and the possibility of sharing the license period between the spouses.
During the STF recess, the interrogations of the defendants of the three nuclei that are responsible for attempted coup d’état were maintained. Next Monday, 28, will be questioned by video conferencing the defendants of core 3.
