Syria and Israel go into a ceasefire agreement after ethnic conflicts
Sunni groups joined the Bedouins against the Druses. Syrian government forces were accused of supporting the attacks, as witnesses reported to AFP.
Israel intervened militarily after denouncing a risk to the minority Druse. The action included bombings in Damascus and Sueida, according to the news agency DW.
Red Cross and UN warned of humanitarian collapse in Sueida. Homes, shops and cars were set on fire, as well as crowded hospitals, lack of water and medicines and even blackouts were recorded.
More than 80,000 people were forced to leave their homes. The data is from IM (International Organization for Migrations).
UN requires rapid investigation and liability for crimes. The request was made by High Commissioner Volker Türk, according to RFI.
