Tampered vodka, including methanol, kill at least 25 in Russia

A kindergarten teacher and a 78 -year -old man were the first detainees in the case. They were arrested on accused of production and sale of dangerous products containing alcohol, resulting in the death of several people. The 60 -year -old would be responsible for providing alcohol to the retiree, who made and bottled the liquid in a makeshift installation, according to Russian television network Ren TV.

Another 12 suspects of involvement in the distribution of adulterated alcohol were also arrested. During the searches, more than 1,300 liters of counterfeit alcohol were seized.

Three criminal cases were opened to investigate the case. The public prosecutor’s office of the São Petersburg region reported that he searches at possible distribution and storage of beverages.
