The performance in Sao Paulo is strategic for Tarcisio’s political project, which appears hard in national scenarios and is considered a possible name to run for the Presidency of the Republic in 2026 if former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) is ineligible.
Expressive approval can serve as a political capital to influence the 2026 municipal elections and reinforce the role of Tarcisio as prominent leadership in the field of the post-Bolsonaro right.
The survey of Paraná Research was conducted between August 2 and 6, with 1,020 voters from the municipality of São Paulo. The margin of error is 3.1 percentage points, for more or less, and the confidence level is 95%. The survey was registered with the Superior Electoral Court under the number SP-09192/2025.
