Tarcísio should run for reelection to the government of SP, says President of Alesp
The re-elected president of the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo (Alesp) and ally of Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), André do Prado (PL), said on Saturday, 15, that discussions about his eventual candidacy for governor or deputy governor will only take place in 2026. The other vacancies will be debated at the right time, ”he said.
As already said the Political Broadcastthe priority of the São Paulo government in partnership with Alesp will be the approval of the privatization of the state’s water crossings, that is, the ferries. The sponsored concession will allow investments of R $ 1 billion over the 20 -year contract.
With auction scheduled for the second quarter of 2025, the initiative is part of the State Investment Partnership Program (PPI-SP). The concession will include the operation, maintenance and management of 14 water lines, distributed in different regions.
“The government wants to privatize these crossings to improve the efficiency of the service,” said the president. “This project will be analyzed by the commissions and, after approval, will go to the College of Leaders and, finally, for vote in plenary.”
PT is combined with the base of Tarcisio, and André do Prado is reelected president of Alesp
This is the first time that a state legislature is reappointed to the same legislature, which was prohibited until change in the Constitution of SP
Regarding the fact that Tarcisio became the governor who vetoed the most Alesp projects since Governor José Serra (PSDB), Prado said that this only occurred because the house approved “many projects”.
“We have had a significant number of projects approved in the last two years,” said the president of the State Legislative Assembly. “There were 206 projects of initiative of the Legislature, of which more than 90 were sanctioned – that is, almost 50%,” he said.
