Trump and Zelensky adopt Tom Conciliator
The reduction of tensions occurred one day after Trump government officials claim that the US would suspend indefinitely all military aid to Ukraine.
Trump threatens Brazil
In his speech to Congress, Trump said yesterday that the US will impose customs tariffs on all countries that tax US imports. “On April 2, reciprocal tariffs will come into force, and any fare that other countries impose on us, we will impose them. This is reciprocal, back and forth.”
Trump included Brazil, as an example, on the list of “countless countries” that, in his view, “charge tremendously higher rates” than the US.
Yesterday, 25% rates on Mexico and Canada imports and the 10% additional on China purchases were in the US. In retaliation, China and Canada also raised their rates on American products, and Mexico said they will adopt measures next week.
However, Trade Secretary Howard Lutnick said in an interview with Fox News that Trump would still announce an agreement with Canada and Mexico today.
