Trump hires negleys to overthrow rules against greenhouse effect
Steven Koonin considers narratives about alarmist climate change. He is the author of the book bestseller “Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What It Doesn’t, and Why It Matters” (2021), which can be translated as “uncertainties: what climate science tells us, which does not say and why it matters,” in which he defends his theory. He was a Under-Secretary of Science in the Government of Barack Obama (2009-2011) and is a member of Hoover Institution, a conservative research organized to Stanford University.
For John Christy, climate models overestimate global warming. The climatologist states that the ozone layer is resistant to greenhouse gases and doubts that human activity is responsible for heating the planet. He is a professor at the University of Alabama and, along with Roy Spencer, received NASA’s exceptional scientific realization medal for satellite temperature monitoring.
Roy Spencer argues that clouds influence global warming than humans. Also according to the meteorologist, the greenhouse effect does not configure a climate emergency and can even bring benefits. Therefore, he argues that cutting pollutant emissions do not justify economic costs. Like Christy, Spencer works at the University of Alabama.
Documents analyzed by the US newspaper, however, do not specify the performance of scientists. The report also did not identify if they would be being paid.
Scientists deny that they are paid by collaboration. Consulted, Koonin and Christy said they do not receive salary, but did not specify the activities developed by them. Spencer did not speak up.
Trio may be involved in the revocation of a measure that regulates greenhouse gas emission
Through the 2009 “Endangerment Finding”, the US has regulated greenhouse gas emissions. The analysis is the starting point for the creation of various federal climate policies created since then.
