Trump says America must choose ‘between communism and common sense’

The United States faces a choice between “communism and common sense,” President Donald Trump declared today at a business convention, a day after a sweeping election victory for Democrats in several states.

“Our opponents are proposing an economic nightmare. We are performing an economic miracle,” said Trump, after once again criticizing the election of left-wing mayor in New York, Zohran Mamdani.

“We’re going to take care of it,” Trump said in front of businesspeople, alluding to Mamdani, a politician who presents himself as a “Democrat and socialist” and who campaigned on promises such as free public transportation.
