Trump says Musk is a ‘derailed train’ and denounces conflict of interest

Carla: Honeymoon is over, and love between Trump and Musk became a scary thing

“Republicans, on the other hand, are a” machine “that works well and has just approved the largest bill in the history of our country,” he said.

Conflict of interest

Trump also linked Musk’s wrath to the fact that he lost subsidies to his electric cars from the approval of the new fiscal law in the US.

“It is a great bill, but unfortunately for Elon, it eliminates the mandatory ridiculous electric vehicle (EV), which would have forced everyone to buy an electric car in a short time,” said Trump.

“I was strongly opposed to this from the beginning. Now people can buy whatever they want: gasoline cars, hybrids (which are doing very well) or new technologies as they come up,” he said.

“I campaigned about it for two years and, honestly, when Elon gave me his full and unquestionable endorsement, I asked whether or not he knew I would end the obligation of electric vehicles – that was in all my speeches and all my conversations. He said he had no problem with it – I was very surprised!”
