Trump says Putin is ‘crazy’ and warns against an attempt to master the whole of Ukraine
The US president also criticized the Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky, considering that “he does not favor his country when speaking this way.”
“Everything that comes out of his mouth causes problems, I don’t like it, and it’s better to stop,” he said about Zelensky.
A few hours earlier, Trump had stated that he is not “at all happy” with Putin, after Moscow launched significant attacks on drones against Ukraine, which left 13 dead.
In the past, Trump has expressed admiration for Putin, but in recent weeks he has shown more frustration with Moscow’s position in negotiations for a truce with Kiev, who are at a dead point.
“I’m not happy with what Putin is doing. It’s killing a lot of people and I don’t know what the hell happened to him,” Trump said at Morristown airport before boarding Air Force One.
“I’ve known him for a long time. I’ve always had a good relationship with him, but it’s sending rockets to cities and killing people, and that doesn’t please me at all,” he added.
