Yesterday, Trump announced through social networks the implementation of 100% tariffs to films produced outside the US. The president claimed that foreign productions represent a “threat to national security”, bring “messages and advertisements to the country” and said “the (American) film industry is dying.” It is not clear, however, how streaming platforms would be hit.
