Trump spoke to the president of the Palestinian Authority and talked about ‘putting an end to the war’
Donald Trump and the president of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmud Abbas, held a telephone conversation in which the president-elect of the United States committed to working “to put an end to the war”, the Palestinian organization announced this Friday (8).
During the call, Abbas said he was ready to work with the Republican “to achieve a just and complete peace based on international legitimacy,” the Palestinian Authority, which partially administers the government of the occupied West Bank, said in a statement.
Trump, who will take office on January 20, stressed, in turn, that he “will work to end the war” and that he is “willing to collaborate with President Abbas and interested parties in the region and the world to establish peace ” in the Middle East, added the same source.
