Trump suggests inclusion of Russia at the 2026 World Cup in a meeting with Infantino

Donald Trump, president of the United States, suggested that Russia be included in the 2026 World Cup dispute as a way to encourage peace in a meeting with FIFA’s agent Gianni Infantino.
Suspended from international competitions because of the conflict with Ukraine, the Russians are unable to compete in the World Cup qualifiers. Trump revealed surprise to learn about this issue (he only knew about the fact because of a question at the press conference) and interpelled Infantino. “I didn’t know that. That’s right,” he asked.
In order to make the American politician aware of the situation of the Russians, the president of FIFA soon explained the sports issue in the face of this war conflict.
