UN facilities in Gaza are attacked by Israel; An employee died
The United Nations Secretary-General condemned UN staff attacks on Wednesday and added, in a statement by his spokesman, that all parties involved in Israel’s attacks Gaza knew where UN facilities were.
“The secretary general was deeply sad and shocked to learn of the death of a United Nations office member for project services, when two UN inns in Deir Al Balah were hit by attacks,” wrote a spokesman for Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
“The location of all UN facilities is known by the conflict parties, which are required by international law to protect them and maintain their absolute inviolability,” the statement continued.
