The United States communicated on Wednesday (30), through the US Treasury Department website, the inclusion of the name of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, the Supreme Court (STF), in the list of individuals sanctioned by global law magnitsky.

Although the warning no more details, the designation of the sanction occurs after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio declared in June that Washington was considering sanctioning the minister.

Global Magnitsky Law allows US president to impose economic sanctions against foreigners with a history of corruption or human rights violations.
