US will send survivors of submarine attack to Colombia and Ecuador

“Two of the terrorists died. The two surviving terrorists will be returned to their countries of origin, Ecuador and Colombia, to be detained and tried”, he detailed.

The President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, stated this Saturday that he received the detained Colombian.

“I’m happy that he’s alive and will be prosecuted in accordance with the laws”, declared the left-wing leader on the social network X, without going into details.

The US Navy has killed at least 27 suspected drug traffickers in six attacks on vessels since the beginning of September.

Washington claims that these operations reduced the entry of drugs into the United States, but did not provide evidence that the dead were drug traffickers.

Experts question the legality of this type of attack using lethal force in international waters against suspects who have not been detained or interrogated.
