Valdemar says that talk about Flávio seeking money from Vorcaro was taken out of context
The national president of PL Valdemar Costa Neto stated this Tuesday, 26th, that his speech about the visit of the senator and pre-candidate for the Presidency Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) to the banker Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master, was “decontextualized”.
On Monday, Valdemar told GloboNews that Flávio went to see Vorcaro, after the businessman’s first arrest by the Federal Police, to “see if he could get the rest of the money” to finance the film “Dark Horse”, a biopic of his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

The speech contradicts the senator’s version, who told journalists that he was at the banker’s house to “put an end to this story”, in reference to the negotiation for payment for production.
In a video released on social media, Valdemar stated that “they tried to cut a speech, but the complete interview shows the context”, citing excerpts cut and shared from the content.
“I gave an interview yesterday at GloboNews and they only asked me about Flávio and Vorcaro. It turns out that some people took the trouble to cut and publish an excerpt of a reasoning that suggests that I was talking about their conversation. Then, I went to see what I had said and it was a little confusing. But in the same interview, this was clarified and I stated that I never spoke to Flávio about this matter”, he stated.
During the interview on Monday, the PL leader said that he considered the senator’s visit to the banker to be “normal” because Vorcaro had helped finance the film. “He wanted to end the relationship with Vorcaro: ‘Look, are you going to pay me? Are you going to pay the rest? Can you pay the rest?'”, he stated.
Asked by the broadcaster whether Flávio had gone to collect the remaining payments from the agreement, Valdemar replied: “I think so. I didn’t discuss this matter with Flávio.”
The statement had repercussions on social media. The PT published that the president of the PL had committed a “failure” by confirming that the senator visited Vorcaro “to ask for more money”.
The minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Guilherme Boulos, stated that Valdemar committed “sincericide” and admitted that Flávio went to meet the banker to collect funds for the film.
Fabio Wajngarten, ex-president Bolsonaro’s former lawyer, criticized Valdemar’s speech indirectly and without mentioning him. “For the umpteenth time, an interview results in more noise and a loss of focus on what really makes a difference,” he said on social media.
According to a report published by the portal Intercept Brasilaround R$61 million of the R$134 million agreed between Flávio and Vorcaro for the production of Dark Horse would have been transferred between February and May 2025.
“I’m embarrassed to keep demanding you, but it’s just that this is a very decisive moment in the film and as there are a lot of installments behind, everyone is tense, worried”, says Flávio in an audio released by the report. “Brother, I am and will always be with you, there’s no such thing as half a conversation between us. I just need you to give me some light! Abs”, he adds.
According to Valdemar, it does not “cross the party’s mind” to remove the senator from the presidential race
