We need to make fiscal adjustment, but about who has privilege, says Alckmin

The acting president, Geraldo Alckmin (PSB), argued that it is necessary to make fiscal adjustment in Brazil, but that the process should be conducted on who “has privilege” and not on “workers”.

The statement was made on Saturday, 26, during Congress of his party to elect the president of the acronym in the state of São Paulo, who is no longer the minister of entrepreneurship, Márcio França, and becomes his son, state deputy Caio França.

“I want, by the way, to greet President Lula for the approval of the new Income Tax Law, which will benefit all who earn less than $ 5,000 – in fact, even those who earn less than $ 7,000 will benefit. This is tax justice, allowing those who earn more contribute to society,” said Alckmin.

“Similarly, the new consignment policy will help: before, many people paid 10%, 12% interest a month. Now they will be able to renegotiate their debts, thanks to the income gain,” he said.

The acting president also compared the achievements of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) management with the previous management, by Jair Bolsonaro (PL). Alckmin even said that while some “planned to assassinate opponents,” the current government is “peace.”

“Tax reform, for example, brings simplification. Today we have five different desires and we will have only one VAT, unifying everything. The reform will also relieve the investment -essential for the country to grow -to relieve exports and allow small businesses to export through export credit,” the president continued.
