What actions are most affected by Trump fares?
With the dollar worth less, these companies fall into the revenue. And the rates make the products more expensive. This is the case of some of the largest Brazilian multinationals, such as Suzano (Suzb3), paper and cellulose; WEG (WEGE3), electric motors and Embraer (EMBR3), of aircraft.
“Embraer is the hardest hit, as 60% of her revenue comes from the United States. Weg has 20% and Suzano, 15%,” says Bruno Benassi, Active Analyst at Monte Bravo Broker. Weg and Suzano have a factory in the United States. So, according to Benassi, in the long run they can transfer this production there.
Suzano has already dropped 13.50% in the year (until April 2, according to Economatica). Weg fell 14.23%. In 2025, Embraer continues in positive, up 15.45%. But in March, it has already registered a low of 5.69%, according to Economática. “For Embraer, tariffs on manufactured goods, such as airplanes, make their products more expensive in the US, their main market, which reduces competitiveness,” says Hayson Silva, an analyst at the new future investments.
Auto parts companies that provide components mainly to Mexico also lose. In this set are Tupy Metallurgical (Tupy3), which accumulates 20.03% in the year, Iochpe -Maxion (MyPK3) and bus manufacturer Marcopolo (Pomo4) – is low of 13.10% by 2025.
Iochpe-maxion is positive in the year, up 8.26%. But it has shrunk 7.18% in March. “The auto parts sector suffers, since 35% of all cars sold in the United States are produced in Mexico, which has been taxed. From today, they are already worth 25% rates on all vehicles and automotive parts imported from there to the US.” Everything will depend on whether the free trade treaty between the two countries will be respected or not, “Benassi adds.
The steel sector is also exposed. “Companies in this business export about 48% of what they sell internationally to the US, Brazil being the largest semi -wing steel supplier to the US market,” says Fabio Louzada, economist, financial planner and founder of Eu Banco, financial education platform. This is the case of Gerdau (GGBR4), with annual low of 9.16%.
