White House reviews Spacex contracts amid tension between Trump and Musk

In an email sent to Reuters, a White House spokesman did not answer questions about Musk’s business, he just said that “Trump government is committed to a rigorous process of reviewing all bids and contracts.”
In a separate statement, a NASA spokesman said the agency “will continue to work with our industry partners to ensure that the president’s goals in space are served.”
Neither Spacex nor the defense department authorities responded to requests for comments.
According to sources, the purpose of the review is to give the government the ability to act quickly, if Trump decides to act against Musk, who was even recently senior counselor of the president and head of the Government Efficiency Department, the doge. The review is to obtain “political ammunition,” said one of the sources.
It was unclear whether the US government could cancel existing or practical contracts, but the possibility raises concerns between governance experts on the influence of personal and political interests on decisions that affect public coffers, national security and public interest.
