Darren Beattie is a political scientist and has a doctorate in political theory from Duke University. Before working in politics, he taught political science and political philosophy at universities in the United States and Germany.
He gained national prominence when he joined Trump’s White House team during the Republican’s first term, serving as a speechwriter and public policy advisor. In 2018, however, he was fired after his participation in an event attended by figures associated with white nationalism in the United States came to light.
