Agam Rinjani liderou equipe de voluntários que formaram uma rede de solidariedade nas encostas do vulcão indonésio, no monte Rinjani

Brazilian family thanked volunteers

Family members shared a message they sent to volunteers. In the text, they expressed gratitude for the “generosity, courage and support” that the volunteers had to join the rescue team.

Family said he knew the “extremely adverse conditions and the big risks” faced by them. “It was thanks to your dedication and experience that the team could finally reach Juliana and allow us at least this farewell moment.”

Text says that volunteers gesture will never be forgotten. “Receive all our respect, admiration and eternal gratitude.” The message was signed, “with affection”, by Juliana’s family. Finally, they also expressed gratitude to all who somehow contributed to enabling the rescue process.

Monte Rinjani has an accident history

Tourists have already died at the scene. In May, a 57 -year -old Malay tourist died in Rinjani after a fall while climbing it. In 2022, a Portuguese also died after falling from a cliff to his summit, according to the BBC. Already in 2012, a group of seven students died during a climb.
