Since early morning, machines have drilled the soil in search of new evidence. In the nearly 500,000 m² inspected, some boxes with bones of animals, old clothes and small materials were removed, considered irrelevant for the investigation.

German authorities in 2022 identified German Christian Brueckner as an official suspect. The man, however, denies any involvement in disappearing. The last search for the child was held in May 2023, when the Portuguese police searched a reservoir inside the Algarve, but found nothing.
