Zelensky denies transferring power plants to the US: ‘They are not private property’
Zaporizehzia’s destination, the largest in Europe and inactive since it was occupied by Russian military in early 2022, is a source of concern for Ukraine, Western powers and the International Atomic Energy Agency (AIEA).
Russia and Ukraine are mutually accused of attacking this center since occupation.
The United States suggested on Wednesday that they could “take office” from Ukraine’s nuclear power plants as part of their efforts to end the conflict.
“They are nuclear centers that belong to the state, they are not private property,” said Zelensky on Thursday, declaring herself open to proposals from the United States to “modernize or invest” in Zaporizehzia.
