Zelensky says he is willing to ‘exchange’ territories with Russia
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday that he is willing to “change” territories with Russia as part of possible peace-sponsored peace negotiations.
If President Donald Trump is able to take Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table, “we will exchange one territory for another,” Zelensky said to the British newspaper The Guardian, although he said he did not know which territory Kiev would ask.
Zelensky has ruled out that Europe alone can offer security guarantees to his country: “Security guarantees without the United States are not real.” The Ukrainian President is expected to meet next Friday with US Vice President Jd Vance at a security conference in Germany.
