Lawyers and unions point to disrespect for freedom of expression

Workers’ advocates accused US President Donald Trump of disrespecting the first amendment. According to lawyers, employees, and former agency employees heard by the newspaper, republishing him would be ignoring the right to freedom of expression of the document’s signatory workers as they remove them from their positions.

For union, agency measures were “clearly an act of retaliation.” Declaration is from a representative of the American Federation of Public Officials, which represents more than 8,000 workers from the state agency.

Letter accuses management of ignoring science

According to the document, the agency’s current policies favor the “polluters”. “Scientific consensus is being ignored for the benefit of polluters,” says the text. Also according to the letter, recent actions of the agency “endanger public health and corrode scientific progress, not only in the United States, but around the world.”

Text points to the political use of the agency. “Under this government, the agency’s communication platforms were used to promote openly party disinformation and rhetoric,” said more than 200 employees, former employees and signatory supporters.
