Lula government sees measures against Moraes as “foreign aggression”
In a statement released on Tuesday (8), the Federal Attorney General (AGU) confirmed that it is following the progress of the process filed by the companies Rumble and Trump measured in the United States against Moraes. The accompaniment is at the request of the Supreme.
“Procedural intervention drafts” are being prepared on behalf of the Brazilian government if it is decided that AGU will act in the case, says the note. The AGU also informs that there is no decision of the Federal District Federal Court of Florida and that Moraes has not yet been formally summoned.
Companies accuse the minister of disrespecting United States laws and censorship by determining that profiles are blocked in the US.
The Trump administration also threatens to apply the sanctions of the magnitsky law against Moraes, which provides for the freeze of bank assets and accounts of individuals who commit crimes against human rights.
Estimates against Moraes by the US government and justice are being made from the lobby of federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro, who moved to the United States to raise Trump’s support for Bolsonaro in the coup survey.
At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, Moraes authorized the opening of an inquiry against Eduardo.
