The bond between Milei and Trump’s spokeswoman in security matters began this year when both attended a meeting between “American patriots” at Trump’s residence in Florida. Kirsti Noem, 52, was the governor of Dakota do Sul between 2019 and 2025 and gained national fame during Covid’s pandemic for rejecting the use of protective mask and opposing quarantine and vaccines, such as President Milei, who publicly denies Covid’s safety measures and relativizes the need for vaccines and climate change.

Immigrant

Nevertheless, it was his posture as a spokesman for Trump’s migratory politics that earned him the nickname “Immigrant Hunter.” Publicly, Kirsti Noem endorses social media posts that compare irregular immigrants to “street waste”. It also associates with discourse that relates immigration to delinquency and says in its networks that every immigrant who is irregularly in the US will be “hunted.” According to official data, in six months of management at least 200,000 immigrants, not all irregular, and mostly Latinos, were deported.

Donald Trump’s iron hand, as it is known, is a controversial figure. She said in her book that she killed a dog and a goat on her family’s farm. The 14 -month -old dog was allegedly killed by his own hands on fire for having an aggressive personality. The information was revealed by the British newspaper The Guardian, which published an excerpt from Noem’s book. According to the newspaper, Trump’s secretary of public security killed her dog Cricket because the animal was “intractable”, “dangerous to anyone she contacted” and “less than useless as a hunting dog” (…) “I hated that dog,” Noem would have written, according to Guardian.

The Argentine press speculates that Noem has a plan to incorporate Argentina into a group of countries receiving deported from the US, such as El Salvador, South Sudan and Kingdom of Esseatini. The information, however, was not officially confirmed.

“Excellent bond between Milei and Trump”

The Milei government took the opportunity to meet the meeting with Noem to reinforce its bond with Donald Trump. According to Casa Rosada, “the beginning of this process is a clear show of the excellent bond of President Javier Milei and US President Donald Trump, based on trust between both officers,” he said in an official statement. If officially integrated into the program, Argentines will be able to travel to the US with only personal data and contacts, biometric passport and working information, US hosting address and a $ 21 rate.
