Netanyahu defines measure as ‘shameful’. Yesterday, Israeli Prime Minister said the plans of different countries about Palestine are disappointing. “Seeing the European countries and Australia entering this rabbit den is disappointing, and I find it really shameful. But it won’t change our position,” he said.

Israel under pressure. International positions take place after Netanyahu’s government is increasingly pressured by a ceasefire in the region, especially after he claims that Israel will “take and militarily occupy the entire city of Gaza” last week.

UN Security Council held emergency meeting. Countries that make up the group discussed yesterday, in New York, the situation in Gaza and the performance in Israel.

More countries adhere or plan to join the measure. At least 145 of the 193 UN states recognize or plan to recognize Palestine as a state.

France is the first country of G7. In late July, President Emmanuel Macron said the French government intends to position itself for the recognition of Palestine in September, during the UN General Assembly, if there is no ceasefire agreement. The group brings together the most advanced industrialized nations in the world. Then they followed the United Kingdom and Canada list under the same conditions. United States, Japan, Italy and Germany, other group members, say they will not follow the same line.
