Eduardo Bolsonaro praises Rubio's choice for negotiations with Brazil: 'Goalço'

Federal Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) said on Monday, 6, that the choice of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to follow negotiations with Brazil was a “great goal”.

Eduardo commented on X, former Twitter, a statement by a former UOL-hearding heard that he analyzes that Rubio’s presence in the negotiations “complicates Brazil”. “It doesn’t complicate Brazil, helps us! The choice of President Donald Trump only complicates the exception regime. Goalço!” He wrote in two posts, one in Portuguese and one in English.

“Secretary Rubio knows Latin America well. He knows very well how the left -wing totalitarian regimes in the region works. He knows how the judiciary was instrumentalized as a tool for political persecution. He will not fall into this boring chat of the regime, independence of an apparent judiciary,” he continued.

Meeting should occur during the Asean summit; Marco Rubio was designated by Trump to negotiate with Alckmin, Haddad and Vieira

After video conferencing with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) on Monday, US President Donald Trump pointed out Rubio to continue the articulations with Vice President Geraldo Alckmin, Chancellor Mauro Vieira and Finance Minister Fernando Haddad.

According to the Lula government note, the presidents talked for 30 minutes “in a friendly tone.” Hours before the video conferencing became public, Eduardo had mocked the possibility that a dialogue between leaders occurred.

Also at X, he commented on news from the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo that pointed out that Trump had not appointed interlocutors to combine meeting with Lula. “If I remember well was Lula’s full agenda. I just wondering what commitment a guy can have more important than being able to talk to the president of the largest economic power worldwide…” he said.

Eduardo also published reproductions of reports with statements by Marco Rubio about Brazil. In them, the US secretary says that the application of magnitsky law as a sanction was “warning” and that “the United States will respond properly to this witch hunt,” referring to the arrest of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

“Here’s the designated by President Donald Trump to deal with Alckmin. I get their conclusions,” wrote Eduardo.

After talking to Lula, who described as “a good man,” Trump said at a news conference at the White House that he wants to “start doing business” with Brazil.
