Israel deports Brazilian activists arrested in Flotilha for Jordan

This is the third wave of deportations made by Israel after the interception of the flotilla with more than 40 vessels. A first flight with deported took 137 people to Turkey over the weekend, two with 170 people, went to Greece and Slovakia yesterday.

So far, only one Brazilian had been deported: Nicolas Calabrese, who arrived in Rio de Janeiro yesterday. They followed in the country: Thiago Ávila; Bruno Rocha; Lucas Faria; João Aguiar; Mohamad El Kadri; Mariana Conti; Gabriele Tolotti; Ariadne Telles; Lisiane Proença; Magno Carvalho; Victor Nascimento; Luizianne Lins and Miguel Viveiros.

Of the 15 members of the Brazilian delegation that headed for Gaza, 14 were arrested. The only one who was not seized is Hassan Massoud, correspondent of Al Jazeera in São Paulo, which is in the national count for having a Brazilian passport.

Despite being in national counting, Hassan, son of Palestinian parents, was born in Lebanon. The vessel in which the journalist was considered a “observation boat” and did not enter the area banned by the Israeli authorities.
