Bolsonaro's defense should ask Moraes for humanitarian house arrest this Tuesday (9)

Senator and presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) stated this Tuesday (9) that Jair Bolsonaro’s defense will file the request for humanitarian house arrest today. The statement was made after he visited the former president, detained at the Federal Police Superintendency in Brasília.

According to the senator, Bolsonaro showed an improvement in his health. “I was much more energetic, I didn’t have any hiccups,” he said. Flávio stated that he informed his father that the lawyers have already finalized the request: “I informed him that his defense will file the domicile request with the humanitarian today, with all the technical basis, and that I think there is everything for, if there is a minimum of common sense and humanity, President Bolsonaro to be transferred back to his home. That’s what I hope, I pray to God that happens.”

Tarcísio de Freitas reaffirms loyalty to Bolsonaro and says he will support Flávio in 2026

“Flávio will count on us, Flávio has a great responsibility from now on”, said the governor of São Paulo

Flávio reported that he took advantage of the visit to update the former president on the political scenario and the impact of his own pre-candidacy for the Planalto. “I explained to him a little, updated him on what is happening out here. I gave him my impression of the impact on the launch of my name as a pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic.”

Flávio also stated that the Bolsonarist militancy, which was “distressed” by the arrest of the former president, regained its spirit after the candidacy was made official. “Now President Bolsonaro has given this direction. So, I said that this candidacy is irreversible. His words: ‘we are not going back, we are going to move forward’.”

The senator reiterated that he will continue to coordinate with party leaders and that the strategy of the Bolsonarist camp will continue to be built together. He also highlighted the relevance of support from allies, such as the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, whose speech Bolsonaro would have followed on television in his cell.
