Carlos Bolsonaro talks about “opportunists” after criticism from Nikolas Ferreira
Senate pre-candidate Carlos Bolsonaro (PL-SC) used social media this Saturday (25) to respond to criticism of the family in light of the current split in Bolsonarism. The son of former president Jair Bolsonaro stated that “the group does not pretend to be opportunists”. The statement comes after federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) refuted Carlos’ proposal to carry out a “survey” of supporters who do not publicize his brother Flávio Bolsonaro’s candidacy for Planalto on the internet.
“I fight to this day to see my country free, just like Jair Bolsonaro and the hundreds of political prisoners in Brazil, and I will continue to do so. The group does not pretend to be opportunists; in fact, it may be, but its essence cannot be lost because there is someone blindfolding its eyes. Brazil is much bigger and deserves much more than that! That’s how it was with Jair Bolsonaro, and that’s how the zap aunts and the barbecue uncles want and have always fought for our beloved nation,” he wrote. Carlos.
Provocations
On Friday, Nikolas said he was being provoked “for three years”, but highlighted “there is a limit”: “Posting yourself every day, anyone can do it. Because that’s easy. But winning votes, through the ideas you represent, that’s an effective job, and one that few do, because it requires work, preparation and intelligence” said Nikolas.
Carlos, in turn, claims that the initiative aims to take the matter to the party executive to “correct” the stance of those who are not wearing the shirt of his brother’s postulation.
“Whoever wants to win needs to act, communicate and wear the shirt. At this moment, the basics are often enough: making a statement and demonstrating with… posts. We continue trying to help keep people alive politically, including many who for some reason ignore Flávio Bolsonaro and don’t care about the situation in Brazil”, added Carlos.
Division on the right
At the beginning of the month, Eduardo had published a long outburst about Nikolas, whom he called a “caricatured version of himself”. The former parliamentarian, who is based in the United States, said that the miner would be disrespecting his family.
“Snickering at me, Nikolas? Apparently, there are no limits to your disrespect towards me and my family. It’s sad to see this caricatured version of yourself. He’s not, by far, the boy I knew, supported and believed in. The spotlight and fame did you harm, unfortunately”, said Eduardo Bolsonaro.
Eduardo Bolsonaro’s public disagreement against Nikolas began earlier, after the federal deputy made a post in support of Jair Bolsonaro. The congressman shared a video from his profile on X called “Space Liberdade” where Lula mocked Trump, stating that Pix was from Brazil. Along with the media, the miner stated that the person who created the banking transaction was the former president.
Despite the Bolsonaro tone, the post displeased Eduardo Bolsonaro, who had already criticized the same profile hours before on his account on
In an interview with GLOBO last week, Nikolas described himself as an “attacker”, claimed that he suffers “unilateral attacks” and cited members of his political group who “think they are more Bolsonaro than Bolsonaro himself”. They are, according to him, “experts in pushing people away”.
