Tarcísio greets Flávio Bolsonaro at Agrishow: ‘our next president’, he says
The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), stated this Monday (27) that being alongside the pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic and senator Flávio Bolsonaro at the opening of Agrishow 2026 is a way of keeping “the legacy of former president Jair Bolsonaro alive”. Tarcísio highlighted that he learned a lot from the retired captain and hailed Flávio as the country’s “next president”.
“Flávio, your shirt says a lot: pride in our agriculture. You capture like no one else the feeling present today. Agriculture has been, yes, mistreated, and we need to be proud. Not being proud of agriculture is being angry at the success of agriculture”, said the governor of São Paulo.
Flávio says that Tarcísio will be president “one day” and that agriculture is treated as “trash”
Senator also took advantage of his participation in Agrishow to highlight agribusiness and criticize President Lula
Debt breaks record and affects 49.9% of families and puts pressure on Lula’s agenda
Debts reach 49.9% of income, with the advance of expensive credit and the government’s focus on renegotiation
Tarcísio and Flávio participated in the event in Ribeirão Preto (SP) this Monday. Vice-governor Felício Ramuth (MDB) and the president of the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo (Alesp), André do Prado, who is seeking to run for the State Senate on the Bolsonaro ticket, a possibility mentioned even by the leader of the Parliamentary Agricultural Front (FPA), Pedro Lupion, also attended.
During the event, Tarcísio stated that he would walk through the fair alongside those who “inherited the values” of Jair Bolsonaro and reiterated his gratitude to the former president, whom he attributed to having “opened doors”. According to him, there is “an army”, referring to those present in the audience, that “will make a difference”.
The governor also recalled the 2022 edition of the fair. “I remember that, in 2022, I rode a horse into Agrishow with Jair Bolsonaro,” he said.
In his speech, Tarcísio criticized the left and highlighted issues linked to the countryside and private property. “Here in São Paulo there is no red carnival. Here we value property rights”, he stated. He also criticized judicial challenges to land regularization. “Left-wing parties question land regularization here in the STF without studying the issue,” he said.
The governor also highlighted results of state policy in the area. “Our land regularization law made it possible to regularize 70% of properties,” he stated, adding that the government is “putting an end to the land invasion spree in São Paulo.”
Finally, Tarcísio highlighted his expectations regarding the innovations presented at the fair. “We’re going to see a lot of innovation here at Agrishow, especially in hybrid vehicles that embrace ethanol. We also can’t help but observe what’s coming in terms of biofuels,” he said.
He also directly criticized the government of President Luiz Inácio de Lula (PT), mentioning that there will be an increase in the tax burden in April and that credit is “increasingly more expensive”.
