A new trend that spreads through Tiktok is that of the “airport theory”, where travelers tests how late they can go to their flights, arguing that waiting at the airport is unnecessary.

What happened

Trend makes influencers 15 minutes before flight. Hundreds of Tiktok videos show people coming to the last call from their flights, running for the safety and airport’s clashes to arrive on time. As a result, many of them ended up losing their flights, while others managed to board shortly after their arrival at the airport.

Woman saw plane taking off after testing theory. One of the most successful videos about the “airport theory”, which reached 25 million views of 1.2 million likes on Tiktok, shows American Jenny Kurtz finding his closed boarding gate when he arrived on time for his flight. “Don’t test,” he wrote.
