Argentina is hospitalized for tubal ligation, leaves without a leg and with a new heart

A woman entered a clinic in Argentina to make tubal ligation, but ended up having one leg amputated and the heart transplanted.

What happened

The expectation of 30 -year -old Alison Calfunao was that she would undergo simple sterilization surgery. For this, on June 9, she interned in a private clinic in the city of Neuquén, Patagonia Argentina.

During the procedure, there was a complication – not yet clarified by doctors – and Alison suffered two cardiac arrests. It was transferred to two different clinics in an attempt to obtain an emergency heart transplant.
