Bolsonaro leaves ICU after 12 hours surgery for intestinal clearance

Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) was transferred to a room at DF Star Hospital in Brasilia after undergoing large surgery for intestinal clearance. The information was released by former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro on Sunday night (13).
The 12 -hour procedure was performed to remove adhesions in the small intestine and rebuild part of the abdominal wall. According to medical bulletin, there were no complications or need for blood transfusion. Obstruction was caused by a fold in the small intestine that compromised intestinal transit.

This was the sixth surgery in the abdominal region since the stabbed suffered by Bolsonaro during the 2018 election campaign – and also the longest. Until then, the longest operation had been in January 2019, to remove the Colostomy Scholarship, which lasted seven hours due to intestinal adhesions.

Bolsonaro was admitted to DF Star on Saturday (12), after being transferred from Natal (RN), where he was ill during a political agenda linked to the defense of amnesty those involved in the coup acts of January 8, 2023.
