Boulos criticizes report on work regulation through apps: ‘setbacks’
The minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Guilherme Boulos, criticized this Wednesday, 8th, the report on the regulation of the work of delivery drivers via app, authored by deputy Augusto Coutinho (Republicanos-PE). According to Boulos, there are setbacks and the opinion is worse than the previous one, made in December. The statement was made in an interview with SBT News.
“The rapporteur’s previous opinion was much better than the opinion he released now. Unfortunately, the opinion that came out yesterday brought setbacks”, said Boulos.

Augusto Coutinho’s report presents two options for remunerating workers per application. One is to receive R$8.50 for each delivery of up to 3 kilometers by car or 4km on foot, by bicycle or motorcycle. The other is payment for time worked, with a minimum payment of an hourly rate equivalent to two minimum wages, or R$14.74.
Coutinho did not respond to the proposals made by a working group led by Boulos that brought together app driver leaders. The collective defended a minimum payment of R$10 per ride, with an additional R$2.50 per additional kilometer for trips longer than four kilometers and full payment for grouped deliveries.
