Brazilian who carried help with Greta Gaza is detained by Israel, says NGO

Thiago’s wife, Lara, said she received a message warning that the navigation was intercepted. “(They said they were being attacked by the Israeli army and the army was rising on the boat.”
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz had said that the country’s security forces would prevent the sailboat from reaching Gaza. Around 11:30 am today (Brasília time), a post on the mission’s official page reported that the boat, called Madleen, was 160 nautical miles (about 300 kilometers) from Gaza. The sailor’s contribution was scheduled for tomorrow.
Katz stated in a statement issued by his office that the State of Israel will not allow anyone to violate Gaza’s maritime blockade. The main objective of the block, according to him, is to prevent the delivery of weapons to the terrorist group Hamas.
I instructed the army to prevent the ‘Madleen’ from Gaza from arrival. Greta, the anti-Semitic, and their companions, spokesmen of Hamas’s propaganda, I say clearly: come back, because they will not come to Gaza.

The Flotilha da Freedom Mission says that the Madleen boat is taking 12 activists from various countries, medicines and food to the population of Gaza. This is another international attempt to pierce Israel’s siege and deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians.
