Government closes buys 57 million updated doses of the covid-19 vaccine
The Ministry of Health has closed the purchase of 57 million doses of Pfizer’s updated vaccine against Covid-19.
Immunizers will be delivered in installments and the expectation is that the first shipment of 8.5 million doses will be delivered between April and May this year. The other shipments will be requested as needed.
Pfizer assumed the contract after Anvisa failed to update the Zalika vaccine, a company that had won the bid. With the disqualification, the second place was triggered for the supply, which was the subject of criticism in the management of Nísia Trindade. For experts, it was necessary to offer the updated version of the immunizer in the country.
