In the INSS, up to 1 million orders are flow, not line, says minister

Social Security Minister Wolney Queiroz reiterated on Tuesday, 10, that fraud to the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) did not start in the Lula administration, but were disrupted by him. According to Wolney, only in the current government was there “courage and autonomy” to combat the scheme of improper deviations in the benefits of retirees and pensioners.
The statement was made during a public hearing of the Committees of Defense of the Rights of the Elderly and Pension, Social Assistance, Childhood, Adolescence and Family of the House of Representatives. To the parliamentarians, the minister also mentioned the promise made by President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva when he took office, of zeroing the INSS line.
Wolney said he was committed to this goal and stressed that there were already “specific and effective advances”, such as the holding of a contest for experts. “From August, I am sure that with the entrance of these experts in the field, we will quickly combat this line to be zeroed. Every time I speak of zeroing the INSS line, the technicians themselves correct me, saying that may not be possible because more than one million new requests come in,” the minister explained.

According to Wolney, at the INSS, up to 1 million monthly orders is considered flow, not queue. “It is essential to explain the difference between flow and inventory. Flow, up to one million people, is flow, not line. Today we have a stock, a line, but we will face it, and my challenge will be to zero this line, especially in the Northeast and North,” he added.
